Scuba Diving Retreat

Roatan, Honduras

Spring 2026

Join me for a 7-day, 6-night scuba adventure in Roatan, a laid-back Caribbean island off the coast of Honduras. This trip is about great diving, good people, and stepping away from everyday life for a week that actually feels like a break.

Over these seven days, we’ll explore Roatan’s vibrant reefs, spend time on the water, do a little yoga, and settle into the easy rhythm of island life. Between dives, there’s plenty of time to relax, laugh, eat well, and connect with a group of people who are curious, adventurous, and intentionally building big, meaningful lives—without taking themselves too seriously.

This retreat attracts people who say yes to new experiences and value genuine connection. Whether it’s post-dive hangs, shared meals, or spontaneous adventures, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get to know each other—and chances are, you’ll leave with new friends you actually want to keep in touch with (Macie’s promise).

With stunning marine life, thoughtfully planned group activities, and the laid-back pace of the tropics, this week is designed to help you unplug and enjoy where you are. You’ll head home refreshed, sun-touched, and carrying great dive stories, inside jokes, and friendships that last well beyond the trip.

What a day on the retreat looks like:

Wake up to the sound of tropical birds and head down to breakfast, where we will eat before the day starts . After breakfast, we dive! Whether you are taking your open water PADI course or are a seasoned diver, you will get out into the water and in the boat at least 4 days of the week. In the afternoon, head back to the lodge to eat lunch at the dive shop with the crew and your new friends. Afternoons will be free for good conversations, paddle boarding, kayaking, or exploring the island. End it with an amazing sunset and dinner.

On the days we don’t dive, expect a few other activities as well as some free time throughout that you can choose to spend how you would like.

FAQ’s

  • I recommend taking the entire week off of work given the packed schedule we will have with the diving and diving courses. There will be some free time for you to catch up on things, but with diving it will be tough to be fully present at any job.

  • We will be mostly eating simple, local foods cooked at the lodge restaurant. Breakfasts will consist of eggs, some meat, beans, fresh juices, fresh baked local sourdough bread, avocado, fruit, etc. Lunch and dinner will vary depending on the day and the schedule, but it will always consist of quality foods with lots of protein, veggies, fruit, cooked with butter or olive oil (no seed oils!!!) and you will be able to order from a few different options on the menu, which changes daily. We will eat a few meals out in town as well so that everyone can experience the local community and we can support the local establishments as well. All meals will be included in the price, even the ones at restaurants, but if you want something extra you can always purchase it yourself and keep it at the house. If you have dietary restrictions, we can very likely accommodate in our group meals, just let me know ahead of time.

  • It is not included in the price. The lodge has a reasonably priced bar and restaurant that you can purchase alcohol at throughout the day/night as you wish.

  • I am happy to setup a payment schedule with you if you need to pay in installments. Just let me know your needs and we can discuss.

  • This may work, reach out to me for more details on your situation.

  • Cancel by:

1 month out or further- 100% of trip price

2 weeks out- 60% of trip price

1 week out- 30% of trip price

Less than 1 week- 15% of trip price

-If you can find someone else to fill the spot though, I will give you 100% of your money back!

-The cancellation schedule is like this because the closer we get to the date, the less likely we are to fill the room, and the more work it will be to market and find participants for the hosts, so we want to give you as much back as possibly since we know life happens, but it is also a financial investment and we need to make sure we don’t incur too many losses if there are a larger number of cancellations.

Always happy to discuss situation by situation though, please reach out if there are questions!

  • There are flights out of most major cities directly to Roatan, or with layovers through Miami/FTL or Houston. Prices range from 400-700 depending on where you are coming from and timing- assistance in planning flights is provided, please reach out with any questions!

  • Yes this is possible, if you have a friend or significant other you want to share a room with, we can work out a lower price for both of you, though the majority of the costs are related to food, host fees, scuba diving, local transport, etc, so splitting the room will likely take something like a few hundred dollars off per person, given the above mentioned costs are per person, and not per room. Let me know if you are interested in this before signing up and we can work it out.
